Swimming has always been an important and enjoyable part of my life.  At age sixteen, my eyesight had deteriorated to the point where some corrective option was necessary.  I was fitted for contact lenses but found them uncomfortable and certainly unwearable in the pool.  Glasses became my only option at that time but my vision still continued to restrict my swimming activities.
